Intel and GridRepublic non profit organization launched application that make possible for Facebook users shred their computer processor platform for social need. With application titled ProgressThruProcessors, Facebook users can share their computer processor platform for project need that already running are Rosetta@home (for AIDS researcher, malaria, cancer, and Alzheimer), ClimatePrediction.net project (global warming effect reduce) and Africa@home (malaria controller). These projects need high level and expensive computation system, even sometimes need computer not already exist. Because of that, Intel and GridRepublic used grid computing system, where computers make a large network that share their collective computer resource so can equal or even can beaten a supercomputer. According to Intel, This application will be run if only a computer is 100 percent not in use. When user still busy working with heavy application program, automatically ProgressThruProcessors application will be idle, delayed their work and back to run when there still resource remainder.
